Well, at least my Volvo.. To celebrate, I even slid the car out of the parking lot at work, sideways, to great cheering from a couple of the division chiefs.
I still need to aim them, and wire them, but they're mounted and that's a large part of it.
Also, from the rear, because I'm doing a good job at looking more like a rally car than a daily-driver, at this point.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I applaud the effort but you need to step up the rally game. Get about 6 more driving lights and double their size. There needs to be at least 2 on the good and maybe some on the roof. Or get a full set for the roof. Attach them to a bar. 4-6 will do on top of the 6 on the front.
And for good measure one facing rearward on the trunk. If anyone asks it's for backing up at night but in reality it's for the tailgating jerks.

Just keep the lights clean so people can see you. Was a huge problem w/ the rear lamps on my '87 300D.

Not until the salt goes away. Mazdas don't get along well with salt.
However, I'm replacing the 3 with a Volvo wagon as a daily, and keeping the 3 as the "nice" car, for dates/weekends/autocrossing.

I see
Hope you have fun with the Volvos!
Also, I plan on getting another car in the next few months... Miata or MR2 (AW11 or SW20)?

None of the above. ZZW30, all the way. Lighter than the AW11 or SW20, and a 2ZZ fits with ease.

If you're going that cheap... I hate to be the weird Volvo wagon guy, but a 240 can be had for under a grand, and that gives you two to play with, for mods. $3k can get you a lot of fun in a Volvo.
Also, the 240 wagon has a slight rearward bias for the weight. Enough said.

Back when my father had his Renault 11 Turbo (you got it as the Renault Alliance, but with no turbo), so around 10 years ago, he had fitted 4 hella rally lights so he could use it for recce (and also because the standard headligths were crap). Basically it looked like this, though it was the facelifted one, so different front end, and it had the stock wheels too. Other than that it's pretty similar to the picture.
